If your verification attempt is declined, our system will send an automated update directly to your email inbox explaining the issue. Our system engine uses automated scanning logic that will reject files for any of the following procedural anomalies:
- Obscured Text or Framing Issues: If any of the four corners of your card or paper document are clipped out of the camera frame, the validation scan will fail.
- Image issues: Camera flash reflection, overhead light glare, or blurry focus that compromises the legibility of your full name, birth date, document number, or photo will trigger an immediate rejection.
- Altered or Blocked Information: Your documents must be shown in full. Attempting to physically cover, blur, or alter any document parameters (outside of standard payment card redactions requested by our team) will result in a compliance failure.
- Expired Validation Window: If your photo ID is past its legal expiration date, or if your utility bill or bank statement was issued more than 90 days ago, the Veriff system will flag the document as invalid.
To remedy a rejection, simply secure a fresh copy of your document or move to a well-lit space, ensure your camera captures all four corners without glare, and submit a new upload via your account settings.
